Lithium cobalt oxide

keyword:Experimental rotary kiln

Description

Lithium cobalt oxide, with the chemical formula LiCoO ₂, is an inorganic compound commonly used as a positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries. Its appearance is gray black powder, which can cause allergies when inhaled and in contact with the skin.

Lithium cobalate uses polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) or polyethylene glycol (PEG) aqueous solution as solvent, lithium salt and cobalt salt are respectively dissolved in PVA or PEG aqueous solution, the mixed solution is heated, concentrated to form gel, the generated gel is heated and decomposed, then calcined at high temperature, and the sintered powder is milled and sieved to obtain lithium cobalate powder.
