Lithium cobalt oxide

keyword:Experimental rotary kiln

Description

Lithium cobalt oxide (chemical formula: LiCoO₂) is a dense gray-black crystalline powder with a layered hexagonal structure. It features a theoretical specific capacity of ~274 mAh/g and practical capacity of ~140–160 mAh/g, with good cycle stability.Boasting excellent electronic/ionic conductivity, it enables efficient lithium-ion intercalation and deintercalation. As a mature mainstream cathode material, it is widely used in lithium-ion batteries for consumer electronics.

Primarily used as the core cathode material for lithium-ion batteries powering portable electronics—including smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, digital cameras, and handheld game consoles—delivering high energy density and stable performance for on-the-go use.
